Landscape
Water Policy
1. In urban areas the landscape is the environment,
and thus should be fostered and maintained.
Quality of life issues should be carefully balanced
with other factors when considering landscape
management.
2. Water conservation is realized by proper
water management, even without changing the
plants in the landscape.
3. People should have the freedom to choose
their own landscapes and plants based on their
personal choice and whether or not to purchase
the necessary water to maintain them.
4. Education and appropriate water pricing,
will result in the proper balance between conserving
and beneficial use of water.
5. Water conservation should be shared by all
water users, including the Green Industry.
6. Irrigation of landscapes does not waste
water. Excessive or improper water use wastes
water. |
